Hustle Up the Hancock, now in its 13th year, has grown to
be one of Chicago’s iconic winter events. Nearly 4,000
participants are drawn from around the country and as far as
Australia to climb the stairs of John Hancock Center and raise
more than $1 million for lung disease research. More than 33
states are represented with participants’ ages ranging from 6-77
years old. Hustle Up the Hancock generated 18.1 million
media impressions in 2009, with coverage in 35 markets and 130
broadcasts. Last year’s event sold out just thirty-one minutes
after registration opened – a testament to the stair climb’s
popularity!
